One of Decom´s center of competence is thread measuring. Over the last 30 years Decom has established the reputation in the German industrial landscape as a go-to-place for challenging measurement requests around threads. In that function Decom is a partner of the Swiss watch industry, measuring small dimensions down to M 0.3. But we are also a partner for large dimensions, e.g. for the European shipyard industry. Cylindrical or taper threads, negative flank angle, extreme leads or multistart threads – over the last 30 years we have measured a large variety of threads for a very diversified client base. As a member of several research projects, e.g. with the German national PTB, Decom is at the front front of technological know how around threads. We work with several partners around the world and understand all kinds of different national thread standards, measuring different parameters as requested by national standards. In addition to that we have developed proprietary technology and software to capture a variety of client requests around threads with a focus on surface-oriented measurement.

Decom´s client base for gearing measurement is very diverse. From very small dimensions like medical devices to large dimensions e.g. for windmills. As with threads Decom always stays on top of technological innovation and uses proprietary software and algorithms to analyze different dimensions and supports our customers.
